In 1994 Rolando Tradii started a project to design and build a 1/5 electric bike, the bike shown here is the latest development of Rolando’s original electric bike concept. The electric bike is marketed as the T.R.D.moto (the initials TRD coming from Rolando’s name) and according to Rolando the bike’s main characteristic is stability and ease of operation. Some of the features of the electric bike are:
- CNC machined Aluminum frame
- Disc front brake
- Scale: 1/5
- Height: 250 mm
- Length: 400 mm
- CNC machined billet aluminium rear swinging arm
- CNC machined billet aluminium wheels
- Rear hydraulic shock absorber
- Lexan fairing
- Rubber slick tires

Fast-forward to 2000 and Rolando launched the T.R.D.moto 1/5 nitro bike powered by the well-known Picco 2.5cc engine.
