DWA Commando

Elusive 1/4 scale nitro bike produced in the 80's.  The bikes shown here all belong to Hansuli Buchi from Switzerland.  Hansuli is an avid collector of historic rc cars and motorcycles.  Hansuli's collection ('bcollection') includes a 'mint in box' DWA Commando and a used 'runner'.  Some of Hansuli's other bikes are featured on other pages in this web.

DWA produced and marketed two versions of the 1/4 scale Commando, one with a disc brake system and one without.  The bike supplied with the brake system was packaged in a red box and a blue box was used to package the bike not fitted with a disc brake system.  Images below show the 'mint in box' model.
