| Drag BikesCommercially produced Drag Bikes are pretty rare, as far as we know there are only two on the market, the 1/6 scale nitro powered New Era Drag Bike, and the 1/4 scale gas powered bike from Pureartmodels. The New Era Drag Bike is currently available (2005), but the availability of the Pureartmodels bike is unconfirmed. Review notes: New Era Drag Bike: American bike, a well made kit, available with either a paint or chrome finished frame. The bike comes with a wheelie bar and all that's required is some easy assembly, quick installation of favorite radio, servos, engine, a paintjob, and you're all set to tear up the strip! Available hop-ups include two speed transmission, aluminum handlebar grips, aluminum gas tank, aluminum gas cap. Pureartmodels Drag Bike: Available in two different bike styles, American or Japanese; both equipped with 22cc engine (runs on pump gas), all steel chassis, 8 inch air filled rear tire, hard rubber front tire. Bike measures 3 feet in length. Apparently the bike does 330 feet (scale 1/4 mile in 8 to 9 seconds! Driver figure is an available option. Shredder X: 1/10 scale electric drag bike. Under continuous development .... to squeeze out that little bit of extra performance.
